Questions to ask your manufacturer
Do they have insurance?
All responsible businesses must have a level of insurance. This should include site and product recall insurance.
Do they have a Manufacturers export licence?
BAP maintain a DAWR registration to ensure that we meet Australian Standards for exporting of dairy powders
Do they wet blend or Dry Blend
?
Wet blend product is superior and is the practice used by Blend and Pack. Refer to our About page for further information on this practice.
Have they exported to your country before?
Blend and Pack have been providing product to China and many other countries for a number of years and have worked with clients and authorities to ensure the product is safe and to specification when arriving at its destination port.
Have you investigated your supplier?
It is important that due diligence is conducted on your supplier. Check with regulatory bodies and material suppliers to ensure the manufacturer can do what they are promising you they can do.
Does your supplier have HACCP ?
A food safety system is a foundation program designed to identify hazards and prevent products not meeting specification. This program is a basic certification that must mention the site that is manufacturing the product.
What systems do they have to ensure compliance?
Visit their manufacturing site. Satisfy yourself that systems are present to ensure compliance to your nominated requirements. If you are unsure look at certificates the site possesses to ensure they are current and reflect the criteria of the importing country.
